Dan St. Marseille is an acclaimed jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and educator known for his warm tone and melodic artistry. He has earned international recognition from critics and audiences alike, performing with leading jazz and commercial artists across the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Dan serves as Program Director of the Music Education/Instrumental Performance Division and Director of Jazz Studies at Â鶹ÉçÇøapp in Riverside, California.

His recordings have received four-star ratings in The All Music Guide to Jazz and have been featured in Downbeat, JazzTimes, the Los Angeles Times, and Jazz Critic magazine. A Yamaha and D’Addario Woodwind Performing Artist, Dan has headlined major venues and festivals, including the Coleman Hawkins Festival, and served as music director for Clickin’ with Clax at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

In 2019, he received the Outstanding Arts Educator Award from the Orange County Department of Education for his innovative teaching and leadership. A noted composer, his work Claxography was featured in William Claxton’s photography book of the same name.

Previously, Dan directed the Instrumental Music Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts, founding the nationally recognized Garn Family Jazz Studies Program.
